Oreo Jones and DMA link up for the follow up to their legendary single “The John Wayne” with their new release Highway Hypnosis.
Highway Hypnosis picks up where “The John Wayne” left off with the two musicians combining DMA’s experimentations with hip-hop production and Oreo’s deft lyricism. For their EP, DMA and Oreo have crafted 4 new originals and 1 remix of Jookabox’s tune “FF” to go along with the aforementioned “The John Wayne”. For their first official collaboration project, Oreo and DMA enlisted Chicago’s ShowYouSuck and Indiana based spoken word artist Azieb Abraha. Oreo and DMA continue prove that they are a formidable emcee/producer pairing with their blending of hip-hop and indie rock.
The past few years have been extremely busy for Indianapolis emcee Oreo Jones. In the past year, OJ has orchestrated an indie rock collab EP, dropped his highly successful single and video “Cordon Bleu”, collaborated with Action Jackson on their smash Black Fabio mixtape, performed at several of the best indie shows in Nap, and most recently was voted the #1 hip-hop act in Indianapolis by Nuvo News. Oreo has several music videos, singles, and events planned for the next few months!
DMA is David “Moose” Adamson. Pure and simple. With DMA, Moose is now free to get as weird, creepy, and sweet as he pleases, in a lone wolf kind of way. Somewhat of a return to form, DMA explores the more meditative and fucked-up side of the Jookabox sound.
