Rad Summer’s 19th official release and first excursion into the sound of drumstep with a 4 track EP from Chicago-based producers The Sleepers.
For their Rad Summer debut, Tom Owen and Dan Dwyer have crafted 2 stellar original halftime odysseys that are accompanied by 2 different moombah takes of the lead track “Open The Airlock”. With a massive bassline, a 2-stepping beat, and a haunting vocal, “Open The Airlock” is poised to be one of the standout tracks of 2013, and that potential is only magnified by the superb remixes from Knife Vice (Lemi Vice x Knife Fight) and Trentino. The Sleepers’ Void EP seamlessly bridges intergalactic adventure, drum-n-bass, and moombahton! Watch for it to hit all digital retailers January 21st!
Formed in 2011 by two long time friends, Tom and Dan have been playing in bands around Chicago and the US for years. They turned their attention to producing electronic music after Dan found success as a DJ and co-founder of the weekly Monday night free for all Porn and Chicken. The duo have been churning out remixes and original composition at a rate and quality that is grabbing attention in Chicago and beyond.
