After a crazy run at The Khyber and a brief intermission (which was not TOTALLY an intermission, we threw the MAD DECENT BLOCK PARTY AFTERPARTY ), Rad Summer Sundays has picked up and moved shop from Old City to Northern Liberties. Our new location boasts a raging soundsystem, first world bathrooms (which we know shouldn’t be a selling point but if you went to our Khyber parties you’ll understand!), NO DOOR CHARGE, awesome staff and a killer location right across the street from Johnny Brenda’s and down the street from The Barbary!

FLUFFTRONIX on the decks, BUDDY LEEZLE on the mic, hosting by everyone’s favourite lil video sprite Daniella and Philly’s own flash freak Teresa.

PBR + shot of bourbon $4
(there’s more I just don’t know em off hand, will post soon)

Trouble & Bass is the sound of staying up all night and getting wild in the streets, sweat dripping off the walls and speakers pounding in your face. For the last four years, these rowdy ravers have brought raw energy back to the world’s dancefloors by effortlessly flipping bass music in all its forms. Trouble & Bass was born in the dirty streets of New York City, fulfilling Drop The Lime’s vision of a futuristic mob of DJ/producers playing hard-hitting warehouse beats with no rules. The crew—DTL, Star Eyes, The Captain, AC Slater, and various affiliates worldwide—has built that vision into a reality with hype DJ sets and mind-blowing monthly parties featuring the most cutting-edge talent from the US and Europe. Along the way, T&B has fused subcultures to make a whole new audience for their sound, while creating an aesthetic that’s now recognizable around the world.

Last year’s party at the 941 Theater (RIP) was sooooooo ridiculous we just had to do a followup! We’ll be bringing in extra low end for this party and the best bass music Philly has to offer, plus an extra special exclusive appearance from GIRL UNIT! For those unfamiliar, he’s one of the people spearheading the hybridization of Chicago juke/ghetto house sounds and UK underground music.. making some real cool stuff!

RAD SUMMER and DJ SEGA have a bit of a past together..

Back in early 2007, a not-quite-21-year-old, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed DJ Sega embarked on a flight from Philadelphia to Indianapolis. He’d been booked to play a party called Daft Crunk in Bloomington, Indiana. This was Rad Summer’s first weekly party, and featured Action Jackson and Flufftronix as the resident DJs. We were the first promoters ever to fly Sega in for a gig—this was also indeed his first show ever outside the Philly area!

The party was legendary; some might say Bloomington was never quite the same afterward.

Many moons, mixtapes, remixes, international tours and block parties later.. Sega’s playing another Rad Summer party this weekend, RAD SUMMER SUNDAYS!

Oh oh and.. $4 for a 16oz. PBR & Shot of Bourbon!
